Vera received an MA in Graphic Arts from the Moscow State University of Arts, Russia. She began her career collaborating with major Russian publishing houses such as MIF Publishing House, Labyrinth Publishing House, and AST Publisher. During this period, she created nine children's books, with illustrations featured in numerous exhibitions and competitions, including:
